Giuliani out, Exxon exec likely in as secretary of state

ExxonMobil President and CEO Rex Tillerson is the leading candidate to be President-elect Donald Trump’s secretary of state, according to The New York Times. Rudy Giuliani, a loyal Trump ally, is out of the race for secretary of state. 

Tillerson recently went to Trump Tower in New York to meet with Trump, who is rumored to be close to a decision.  A number of business leaders support Tillerson for the position. 

Trump advisers also have said Mitt Romney was in the running.
