Italian fashion designer Giorgio Armani died Thursday. He was 91.
Armani founded the Armani Group and led the fashion house for five decades. Reuters reports the company has some $2.7 billion in annual turnover.
"We, the employees and the family members, who have always worked alongside Mr. Armani, commit to protecting what he built and to carrying his company forward in his memory, with respect, responsibility and love," officials with the Armani Group said in a statement.
