Gillioz offers donation incentive

Posted online
In an increasing attempt to reach the Gillioz Theatre's fundraising goal, the Springfield Landmarks Preservation Trust is now offering 100 days of free rental at the theater - one free day each for the first donors who give $2,500 or more. The campaign will run until the foreclosure deadline on Dec. 31.

The free rentals would allow for up to five hours of rental space per donation.

In a news release, the trust laid out several event ideas for businesses and individuals, including parties, banquets, sales training and charity events.

As of Dec. 22, nearly $100,000 of the $500,000 goal had been raised for the "Save the Gillioz" fund.

Donations are being accepted through the Community Foundation of the Ozarks.
