Gianforte, charged with assaulting reporter, wins House seat

Republican Greg Gianforte yesterday won the race for Montana's lone seat in the U.S. House, despite being charged Wednesday with assaulting a reporter.

Gianforte  had an edge of 151,021 votes to 132,555 for Democrat Rob Quist.

On Wednesday, Gianforte attacked The Guardian reporter Ben Jacobs by throwing him to the floor.
