Victory Mission presents the Victory Classic Golf Fundraiser at Deer Lakes Golf Course. Tee time is 8 a.m.; a continental breakfast and lunch will be served. May 6
KTXR and Missouri State University present the Spring Golf Classic. The four-person scramble begins with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. at Island Green Golf Course in Republic. There will be women’s, men’s, and mixed divisions, with prizes for all flights. There also will be live and silent auctions, prizes on all par 3s and door prizes, with dinner to follow. The entry fee of $90 per person includes green fees, a cart, a gift, prizes and dinner. Proceeds benefit the MSU women’s golf team and MSU athletics. The Springfield Metropolitan Bar Association and Legal Services of Southern Missouri present Justice Fore All, the 12th annual SMBA golf tournament. Entry fees are $100 per player and $400 per team. Springfield Sister Cities Association and the Springfield-Greene County Park Board present the 2006 Sister Cities Open to benefit SSCA. The event begins with a 1 p.m. shotgun start at Rivercut. The four-person scramble will feature men’s, women’s and mixed teams. Prizes will be awarded for first place in each flight, closest-to-the-pin, and longest drive (men and women). The entry fee of $60 per person includes 18 holes of golf, a shared cart, range balls and a door prize. Council of Churches presents Cirque du Golf, Part Deux at Rivercut Golf Course. The event starts at 10 a.m. with an exhibition by Dan Boever, a local long-drive expert and golf comedian, followed by lunch at 11:30 a.m. and a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. Entry fees for the four-person scramble are $150 per player and $600 for four-member teams. Springfield Trust Co. and the Arc of the Ozarks present the Sixth Annual Charity Golf Classic at Springfield Golf & Country Club. Entry fees of $150 per person include a cart. The tournament benefits Arc of the Ozarks. For more information, call (417) 864-7887.
The Tower Club presents a two-man scramble at Highland Springs Country Club. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m. with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. The entry fee of $145 per person includes lunch, a pro shop goody bag, golf shirt, greens fees, cart rental and a group photo. Urban Districts Alliance presents its fifth annual Center City Scramble at 1 p.m. at Springfield Golf & Country Club. The event begins at noon with lunch, followed by golf at 1 p.m. Prizes for the two-man scramble will be presented during a dinner following the tournament. Sept. 15
Local credit unions present the 10th annual Golfing For Kids benefit tournament for the Ozarks Children’s Miracle Network. The four-player scramble features shotgun starts at 7:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. at Rivercut Golf Course. The event is open to singles and teams.
The registration deadline is Sept. 1; registration will end when the tournament is full. Entry fees are $90 per person and $360 per team, and include greens fees, a golf cart, lunch, range balls, prizes and a gift bag. There will be two flights, with prizes for each flight.
