Germany indicts Swiss man for espionage

German authorities indicated a Swiss citizen on suspicion of espionage.

The 54-year-old man, who's only identified as Daniel M. due to German privacy rules, allegedly spied on German tax investigators as an agent for Switzerland's intelligence service.

Prosecutors claim the man was paid to obtain information on tax officials in the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia from July 2011 to February 2015.
