U.S. Rep. George Santos, R-New York, has withdrawn from two House committees amid a scandal.
Santos said he wanted to “focus on serving the constituents of New York’s third congressional district and providing federal level representation without distraction."
He has come under fire for allegedly making up his resume, along with improper campaign finance filings, among other issues.
