General Motors dropped its support for the Trump's administration's legal attempts to undo California’s strict fuel economy rules.
The company is instead signaling plans to work with President-elect Joe Biden to reduce emissions.
“President-elect Biden recently said, 'I believe that we can own the 21st century car market again by moving to electric vehicles.' We at General Motors couldn’t agree more," GM CEO Mary Barra said.
