GE swings to first-quarter profits

General Electric Co. posted first-quarter earnings of $619 million, compared with a loss of $61 million a year earlier.

Revenue dipped by 1 percent to $27.7 billion.

Still, revenue was above analysts' expectations of $26.4 billion.
