General Electric's stock jumped the most in two months amid speculation that Warren Buffett may invest in the company.
The company's shares climbed 4.3 percent on a day when most of the market fell.
GE declined to comment. Buffett’s Berkshire Hathaway Inc. didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
