Ken Stufflebeam, AIA, of Gaskin Hill Norcross is the project architect for the expansion of the emergency department of Ozarks Medical Center in West Plains. Gaskin Hill Norcoss Architects/Engineers also is the structural engineer for the project, while Malone Finkle Eckhardt & Collins is the mechanical and electrical engineer. Scott Consulting Engineers is the civil engineer, and RKL Construction is the general contractor for the project, which has an estimated cost of $4.5 million. Scheduled for completion in January 2007, the project comprises 20,000 square feet with a 16-bed emergency suite, a north entrance canopy and a north lobby for the hospital. The project is the second phase of a master plan for hospital expansion, which began this year with a street relocation and utilities relocation. Other phases include a new energy plant, kitchen, dining facility and laundry facility.
