Average gasoline prices dropped more than 13 cents per gallon in the last week, according to data released Monday by MissouriGasPrices.com.
The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Missouri was $2.59 as of Monday, down 13.3 cents from a week earlier. Prices are 10.5 cents lower than a month ago but nearly 32 cents higher than the same date in 2009.
Springfield gas prices ranged from $2.46 to $2.48 per gallon as of Tuesday morning, according to the site.
Nationally, prices dropped 6.8 cents per gallon to $2.80 as of Monday. The national average is down 6.3 cents month-to-month and up 39.8 cents per gallon on a year-over-year basis.
