Sendero Capital Partners Inc. acquired the gas distribution company’s interests after a bidding process for an undisclosed amount. Sendero shares the interests with consortium members Denver-based CHx Capital LLC and investor Michael J. Lewis.
Sendero will focus on capturing growth potential in SMGC’s market and explore expansion opportunities, Sendero President Randy Maffett said in a news release.
All employees at SMGC will remain onboard, said Bill Walker, business development manager of SMGC. The company serves about 7,500 customers in south and central Missouri.
