Garmin Ltd. unveiled a Federal Aviation Administration-certified system that can land a plane by itself in the event of an emergency.
Called Autoland, the system also provides visual and verbal information to passengers, including estimated time of arrival and remaining fuel.
Garmin officials began initial flight testing in 2014.
