Olathe, Kansas-based communication and navigation product maker Garmin Ltd. confirmed it was hit with a cyberattack after rumors had surfaced of such an incident.
Garmin officials said there were no signs that customer data was stolen.
Company officials did not offer other details. Tech website Bleeping Computer has reported that Garmin was hit by the WastedLocker ransomware attack and that hackers demanded a $10 million ransom.
