GameStop to close 300 stores

GameStop announced it would close 300 stores permanently this year.

The video game retailer currently has 5,500 stores in the United States. In its prior fiscal year, the company shuttered 321 stores.

For its recent fiscal year, the company reported a net loss of $470.9 million. That's an improvement from a $673 million net loss a year earlier.
