While its shares have been boosted amid a trading bout between Wall Street and amateur investors, GameStop's sales dropped in its fiscal fourth quarter.
Sales during the period ended Jan. 30 were $2.1 billion, down from roughly $2.2 billion a year earlier. Revenue and profits were below analysts' expectations.
"The stock isn't trading on fundamentals," said Joe Feldman, senior managing director at Telsey Advisory Group.
