Missouri Auditor Nicole Galloway yesterday was sworn in to her next term.
Galloway is the lone statewide Democrat in Missouri, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
She was appointed in 2015 after the death of then-Auditor Tom Schweich. She won a full four-year term in November by defeating Republican challenger Saundra McDowell.
Galloway said that since 2015, her office has identified $300 million in “government waste, fraud, abuse and mismanagement” across Missouri.
