Project description: Muldrow, Okla.-based Furniture Factory Outlet is opening its third Springfield store and 25th store overall, with locations in Missouri, Oklahoma, Arkansas and Kansas. Founded in 1984, Furniture Factory Outlet opened its 2225 W. Sunshine St. store in 1986 and its 2209 E. Kearney St. store in 1987. Those two stores have a combined 28,000 square feet of showroom space, compared to 19,000 square feet of showroom space at the new store. Gary Atchley will manage the new outlet, which will have 15 employees, according to District Manager Rick Tennis.
