Peggy Dunn, the mayor of Leawood, Kan., and Terry Dunn, CEO of the JE Dunn Construction Group, will chair a national fundraising committee tasked with luring the Republican National Convention to Kansas City in 2016, according to the Kansas City Star.
The couple is tasked with raising an estimated $50 million to $60 million in its bid to host the convention in Kansas City.
Helping the Dunns as a committee member is Linda Bond, wife of the four-term, former Missouri Sen. Christopher “Kit” Bond, and Carla Eudy, who served as executive staff adviser for Arizona senator John McCain’s 2008 presidential campaign.
