Fulbright Landfill site to close Monday

Posted online
The city of Springfield will stop accepting clean fill at the site of the former Fulbright Landfill on July 16.

Contractors who still have coupons after July 16 should bring them to Kim Talbot, public works operations division, 1010 W. Chestnut Expressway, for a refund or call 864-1958 for more information.

Alternate disposal options for clean fill, which includes soil, rock, unpainted concrete and asphalt, include taking the material to other permitted clean fill sites, to permitted construction and demolition sites, or to the Springfield Sanitary Landfill north of Springfield off of State Highway 13.

For information and assistance in finding disposal options for clean fill and other similar items, or to request a city recycling guide, call the city recycling hotline at (417) 864-1904 or visit www.springfieldmogov.org/recycling.[[In-content Ad]]
