Colder-than-average weather in the Central Atlantic and New England is putting added pressure on crude oil supplies. More crude is being used to produce heating oil for those regions, causing gasoline prices to rise. However, prices are being somewhat offset by expectations of warmer weather in the near future. The U.S. average price of gasoline per gallon was $2.21 as of Dec. 19, up 2 cents from Dec. 12. The price of crude oil per barrel was $58.01 as of Dec. 16, down $1.40 from Dec. 9.[[In-content Ad]]
