The Federal Trade Commission has filed a complaint against H&R Block.
The complaint alleges H&R Block makes it too difficult for customers to opt out of more expensive tax-preparation plans.
“H&R Block allows consumers to downgrade to a less-expensive DIY product via multiple mechanisms while ensuring the preparation of accurate tax returns," said Dara Redler, H&R Block’s chief legal officer, in a statement.
