Description: Burrell Behavioral Health’s Youth Resiliency Campus is now coming to fruition in north Springfield, just south of Interstate 44. The facility will offer 24-hour stabilization for people ages 13-17 who are experiencing a mental health or substance abuse crisis. The 7-acre campus will include a 27,500-square-foot center offering clinical and community-based outpatient services, an intensive outpatient program with partial hospitalization, and a 16-bed youth residential treatment center, according to project officials. Some amenities in the works are an indoor gymnasium, a dining space, a covered patio, walking trails and a recreation court. At the September 2023 groundbreaking, Burrell President and CEO C.J. Davis said the campus will be unique in the state and possibly in the country.
