Project description: This fifth- and sixth-grade school, Springfield R-XII School District’s latest addition, is northeast of the Weaver Road and Highway FF intersection in Battlefield. The facility includes 20 classrooms: 15 general rooms, three rooms for science, one for art and one for music. The building also will include a library, two special education classrooms, a gymnasium and a multipurpose room/cafeteria with a stage. Outside, the space will have park grounds, a walking trail and fields for soccer and softball. LeNir Ltd. is acting as project manager for the new school, which is being built with funds from an April 2003 voter-approved $30 million bond issue.
