Project description: Springfield-Greene County Park Board Public Information Administrator Jenny Fillmer Edwards said the pavilion would cover a picnic area with a 54-seat capacity. Funded by the 1/4-cent countywide parks sales tax approved in 2006, she said the project includes public restrooms and a drinking fountain. Paragon Architecture Project Manager Alex Mosby said there was room for eight picnic tables under the roof and storage space between the restrooms on the back end of the pavilion. Edwards said other recent Westport Park projects include playground renovations, stormwater improvements and pool reconstruction.
