Engineers: Mettemeyer Engineering LLC, structural; Interpres Building Solutions LLP, mechanical, electrical and plumbing Size: 12,000 square feet Estimated cost: $1.3 million Lender: Central Bank of the Ozarks Estimated completion: April Project description: Developer Morris Dock is building the seventh and final commercial condominium in Twin Oaks Office Park fronting James River Freeway. Started in 1998, Dock said over $250,000 worth of rock was removed to prepare the property for construction. No civil engineer was hired for the final phase, because all land preparation and infrastructure was completed when the 8-acre development began. Dock said his company also built an extensive retaining wall and a section of Republic Road, which initially began as a turn lane into the property but became part of the road widening. Tenants include Connell Insurance, Northwestern Mutual and Village Inn corporate offices. Missouri Employers Mutual plans to relocate from the office park early this year.
A safe room and classroom addition at Willard Central Elementary School will be used by the music, arts and athletic programs for a district that had 4,536 students last year, according to Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education figures, but school officials say enrollment is projected to grow.
