Project description: On The Kitchen Inc.’s O’Reilly Family Campus near the intersection of Glenstone Avenue and Chestnut Expressway, the project will be dubbed the Sam and June Hamra Family Support Services building. It’ll be an administrative office for the nonprofit, providing direct access to the adjacent shelter building on the campus, said Meleah Spencer, CEO of The Kitchen. She said the nonprofit, which provides housing and case management services to the homeless population, had served nearly 550 individuals for the year. The building design has space for its nearly 40 employees, a board room and nine conference rooms for clients and case managers to meet. It also will house a donation center on the first floor, which Spencer said would replace the receiving and distribution center damaged by a fire last month. The project will be funded by donations, Spencer said, with further loan assistance from BancorpSouth Bank.
