Project description: A 24-unit building under construction will join six existing buildings this spring at The Foothills Condos at Thousand Hills. Manager Wayne Smith said when the newest phase is completed, the complex will have 162 units, most of them vacation rentals, though some full-time and seasonal owners also reside there. A short walk from the Thousand Hills 18-hole golf course, the community’s amenities include indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a fitness room, sauna, hot tub and clubhouse with meeting space and kitchen. Smith said the older units measure 1,330 square feet, but the new building’s units are larger, with three bedrooms and 1,800 square feet. Smith said units were purchased in advance – some over a year ago. “They don’t last very long,” he said.
