Project description: Springfield-based MSI is rebuilding this Stockton church after it was demolished in the tornadoes of May 4, 2003. It is one of the last major buildings to be rebuilt there, according to Ed Canning of MSI. The project, funded by the church’s insurance, will expand the sanctuary and tie it in with the old structure, while adding a 35-foot steeple. The new construction will incorporate the cornerstone from the old church, which was built in 1958, Canning said.
