Project description: Local Steak N' Shake franchise owner Gary Leonard is growing into his fifth Springfield location with this restaurant at North Glenstone near Interstate 44. He hopes the 24-hour restaurant capitalizes on the interstate and semi-truck traffic, as well as a growing north-side residential community. "We thought that we had a customer base to service out there," Leonard said. There are 240 employees in Leonard's franchise system and the new restaurant will staff about 70 people.
