Project description: The St. Francis of Assisi building will consist of two spaces joined by an entry canopy with a natural stone accent wall, said Matt Capen, project manager at H Design Group. The larger portion, at approximately 9,000 square feet, will include a sanctuary and an area that will later be finished as a community room and classrooms. The smaller of the two spaces will hold administration offices and a chapel. Clerestory windows in the sanctuary will allow for maximum light while reducing glare, Capen said. The cost of construction will be paid for by donations from the parish and the diocese, he said.
