Project description: A three-story, climate-controlled storage facility is underway along U.S. Highway 65, north of Greenlawn Funeral Home East and Springfield Catholic High School. Plans call for 627 self-storage units, ranging from 5-by-5 feet to 10-by-30 feet, said Mitch Drury, vice president of Drury Properties. Monthly rates will run $50-$250, he said. Project features include on-site information kiosks, 24-hour digital security monitoring and elevator access. Drury declined to disclose the estimated cost of the facility, but city permits recorded an estimated value of $3 million.
