Project Description: Roger Lantz, co-owner of Springfield-based developer Greek Housing USA, expects to have the three-story home of the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity completed for the fall semester at Missouri State University. It’s designed with a commercial kitchen staffed by Upper Crust Food Service LLC, a basement for storage, and two upper floors with learning spaces and 20 bedrooms. The project is part of the company’s plan since its 2012 launch to spend roughly $20 million on Greek housing renovations, including land purchases, around MSU. Lantz’s most recently completed project near the Springfield campus is the Gamma Phi Beta house at 1141 E. Elm St. Lantz said up next is Sigma Phi Epsilon’s current building at 1117 E. Elm St. to be renovated for the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity.
