Project description: This long-term acute care hospital will have 44 beds, according to Christian Pitts, project manager for general contractor Brasfield & Gorrie of Birmingham, Ala. The facility is slated to open in February, Pitts said. Mechanicsburg, Pa.-based Select Medical Corp., established in 1996, operates 90 specialty hospitals, about 1,100 outpatient rehabilitation clinics and offers contractual rehabilitation services to nursing homes and assisted living centers, according to its Web site, www.selectmedicalcorp.com.
