Project description: The three-floor addition will facilitate functions for three areas of church ministry, each with its own floor. The teenager/youth student area in the basement will have classrooms, a game room, cafe, stage and meeting area. The first floor will be designated for nursery uses, serving newborn babies to 3-year-old children. Also being constructed on the first floor is a 5,000-square-foot, two-story atrium that will become the church's primary entrance, said Dr. John Edie, the church's senior pastor. "We'll adjust the traffic flow to this (area)," he said. The atrium also is designed to host receptions with its adjacent kitchen area. The second floor will be have classrooms, meeting rooms and conference space for married and single adults. Edie said the banquet/conference room will be equipped with audio and projection capabilities.
