Project description: Property owner Jared Enterprises demolished a building occupied by Purple Burrito to make way for a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen franchise, said Curtis Jared, the property management company’s chief operating officer. Owned by EMW Investments LLC, a division of Jared Enterprises, the new structure is leased for 20 years to Fayetteville, Ark.-based Popeyes chicken franchisee Smitco Eateries Inc. Jared said Purple Burrito agreed to relocate to another Jared Enterprises property at 3459 W. Kearney St., Ste. F. Smitco Eateries operates five Popeyes restaurants, and this is the franchisee’s first outside of Arkansas. President Brian Smith has said he’s talking with Jared about finding a second site in town.
