Project description: Peoples Community Bank Vice President Mike Tomlinson said the Greenville-based bank is opening its first branch in Republic. To better serve rural customers, he said the site would feature a wide parking lot and drive-thru lanes to accommodate trucks and other large vehicles. The full-service branch would be the 14th for the bank that had more than $300 million in total assets following a January merger with Peoples Community State Bank, according to PeoplesCommunityBank.com.
