Project description: A flagship dealership for Pedigree Truck & Trailer Sales is under construction in north Springfield, just south of Interstate 44. The company is an affiliate of Prime Inc., North America’s largest refrigerated carrier. The new facility is intended to serve as Pedigree’s flagship dealership and primary sales hub, supporting customers nationwide along with satellite locations in Illinois, Pennsylvania and Utah, according to construction officials. The building will feature a structural steel and joist structure, metal stud framing, an exterior insulation and finishing system, metal wall panel exterior and a thermoplastic polyolefin membrane roof. An open-concept interior will include customer amenities such as a driver’s lounge with charging stations and entertainment systems, as well as a snack and beverage depot and showers.
