Project description: Construction is nearing completion on a new production facility for Paul Mueller Co., manufacturer of stainless-steel tanks and equipment in Springfield since the 1940s. According to past Springfield Business Journal reporting, the project has received benefits from a pair of programs of the Missouri Department of Economic Development: Missouri Works, which awards withholdings or tax credits in exchange for job creation, and Missouri One Start, a DED division that assists businesses with recruitment and training needs. Officials from Ross Construction Group LLC previously told SBJ that the facility, called Building 10, is designed to house production activities and provide office space. The production area features a 200-foot clear span in a structure that is over 50 feet tall. Support spaces include warehouse, fabrication, training and research and development rooms, with the latter including a 5-ton overhead crane.
