Project description: Nothum Food Processing Systems is adding 12,000 square feet of new office space, with another 30,000 square feet added to its production plant to supplement Nothum’s existing 50,000-square-foot facility, according to the project architect. The office area is designed to include an expanded employee breakroom, multiple conference rooms and an open office area, while the production area will include new shipping and receiving bays. Additionally, 8,000 square feet of existing production space is being renovated during the project to include a new equipment demonstration room. Nothum, founded in Springfield in 1971, was acquired in 2024 by Texas-based Fortifi Food Processing Solutions. Nothum’s website says it specializes in batter, tempura, breading and frying lines, primarily for protein processing.
