Project description: North National Church of Christ, led by Pastor Bill McFarland, is relocating to 18 acres along Barnes Avenue after more than 50 years at 2148 North National Ave., where the church has about 20,000 square feet. The new church will nearly double that space and will include a fellowship hall, kitchen, classrooms, offices and a 600-seat sanctuary, according to Gaylen Jones, church member and owner of general contractor A-1 Electric Service Inc.
The church plans to change its name after moving from National Avenue, though Jones didn’t know what the new name would be or when it would take effect.
