Project description: Nixa Public Schools Communications Coordinator Zac Rantz said additions to the high school and junior high were bid as a single project. He said Phase I comprises a 21,500-square-foot classroom addition at each school that would include science and computer labs. The additions are funded by the sale of general obligation bonds, Rantz said. A planned second phase would include infill on the second floors of the classroom additions at the junior high and high school, as well as a remodeling of the junior high entrance. Rantz said Phase II is contingent upon passage of a 2014 bond issue and would be completed in 2015.
