Project Description: The private Christian school is adding six classrooms, including a new art room for K-12 students, intermediate classrooms and a teacher workroom, said Tim Bartholomew, senior project manager with Federal Construction Inc. The addition is in response to roughly 45 percent enrollment growth the past six years, said Glenda Scott, New Covenant Academy’s development director. The school started a nearly $7 million capital campaign in 2014, and she said $4.25 million has been raised, covering the cost of the new classroom wing, parking lot, playground and baseball field. About $700,000 is still available toward a roughly $3 million gymnasium.
