Project description: This building will be a retail branch for Augusta-based Mount Pleasant Winery, which is owned by Chuck Dressel, according to project architect Gene Douglas with Pellham Phillips Architects and Engineers. Mount Pleasant Winery, established in 1859, is located about an hour east of St. Louis and grows 16 grape varieties on 85 acres, according to www.mountpleasant.com. Customers of the Branson location, which will not have vineyards, will be able to bottle their own wine.
