Project description: Mid-States Organized Crime Information Center is a Springfield-based nonprofit agency that provides informational, educational and technological assistance to law enforcement agencies in a nine-state area, according to Administrative Manager Cindy Curtis. MOCIC is part of the federal Regional Information Sharing Systems, assisting more than 8,000 law enforcement agencies in six regions, Curtis said. MOCIC is relocating, after about 10 years at 1610 E. Sunshine St., in order to increase its space, Curtis said. MOCIC will lease space in its new building from developers Jim and Scott Wehr of JSB Real Estate Holdings. The Wehr family also is serving as general contractor, according to Teri Cobb, property manager for Wehr Properties.
