Project description: Mid-America Transplant Services, an organ procurement organization, will get much-needed additional general purpose space in this move from 2748 S. Austin, according to Lonnie Boyd, the firm's vice president of regional services. "This also positions us a little bit closer to the hospitals we serve," Boyd added. The organ and tissue bank, in Springfield since 1991, also offers public awareness, professional education and recovery of organs and tissue for transplantation. It will occupy 4,000 square feet in the new facility; the remaining 2,000 square feet is up for lease.
