Project description: Metro Eats will host area food trucks daily and feature a food court with vendors, a multiday farmers market, monthly festivals and other outdoor activities, said Christina Shellhart, owner and operator. The structure will house the food court and will be available for events. The open-air farmers market on the nearby pavilion has capacity for around 120 vendors and will be open Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday. Also on-site will be the Where House Bar and space for future entertainment options, such as miniature golf. Shellhart said she has been working with developer GBS Properties to design and plan the space on the 11-acre lot. Metro Eats will take up 6,500 square feet of the building, with the rest occupied by vehicle graphics creator Frog Signs, Shellhart said. A separate building also is being constructed on the site for another business.
