Project description: Temple, Texas-based McLane Co. Inc. is building its 450,000-square-foot grocery distribution center on 132 acres near the intersection of Greene County Farm Road 156 and State Highway MM. According to previous Springfield Business Journal coverage, the land was purchased from Drury University, and Republic’s reasonable real estate prices, access to major highways, infrastructure and labor pool all factored into McLane’s decision to build the center at that location. The center is expected to employ between 300 and 400 people.
