Project description: The four-classroom addition to Marshfield High School will provide a classroom for each special education teacher, increasing the number of total special education classrooms to six, said Cheryl Wrinkle, director of special services for the school district. Wrinkle said each room will be handicapped-accessible and wired for technologies, including a Smart Board, and student and teacher computers. The project is funded through a $750,000 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act grant, Wrinkle said, noting the remainder of money – which can be used through September 2011 – will be used for teacher salaries and technology for classrooms. The concrete block and brick addition has an adhered membrane roof, said Jessica Pearson, marketing director for Jack Ball & Associates Architects.
